The S&C Pad-Mounted Gear family consists of both “live” front and “dead” front styles. Our live front, PMH Pad-Mounted Gear, feature directly accessible components. The components are readily visible, and operating status can be easily confirmed by visible gaps and grounds.

PMH Pad-Mounted Gear is offered in Manual, Remote Supervisory, and Source-Transfer versions. Remote Supervisory Pad-Mounted Gear brings SCADA and distribution automation functionality to underground distribution applications. S&C’s PM Operators make automation possible and are retrofitable to nearly every unit of manual gear manufactured. Source-Transfer Pad-Mounted Gear is completely self-powered. External AC, batteries, and voltage transformers are not required. Source-transfer gear includes an isolated low-voltage compartment, a decoupling feature, and local or automatic electrical operation.
