The Nexus 1500 is a New Generation Power meter which offers advanced power quality monitoring and communication. Communication capabilities include one RJ45 port standard, an optional second Ethernet port with either RJ45 or Fiber Optics,up to two optional RS485 serial ports, support for standard protocols (Modbus, Modbus TCP, DNP 3.0 Level 2)and 8 simultaneous Ethernet connections. For power quality monitoring, the Nexus 1500 offers a 10MHz transient recorder and 8-channel waveform recorder. It is EN61000-4-30 class A certified, and has 0.06% revenue energy accuracy. 1 Gigabyte of memory gives the Nexus 1500 highly extensive recording capability. The meter has a vivid advanced color LCD touch-screen display showing all meter readings, Alarms, and data analysis. It is auto-calibrating and is field-upgradeable through EIG's exclusive V-Switch technology. Other capabilities include a 20 year TOU calendar, pulse aggregation, Demand control, Load profile, and highly expandable I/O. The Nexus 1500 is especially designed for Utilities and Industrial users, including commercial enterprises, government facilities, substation control applications, and critical monitoring sites, such as hospitals and wafer-fab plants.
