About FP Outdoor Lighting Controls
In 2003 Sunrise Technologies acquired the Fisher Pierce Outdoor Lighting Control business from the Danaher Corporation. The products are now marketed under the FP Outdoor Lighting Control (FP-OLC) brand name.
The first twistlock photocontrols were introduced in 1958. The FP-OLC group quickly became the leading supplier of the technology for utility roadway applications. Twistlock photocontrol technology has been the accepted standard methodology for Roadway Lighting control since that point in time.
Over the years, FP Outdoor Lighting Controls developed a complete line of products for the Commercial & Industrial distributor market for Area Lighting and now has a major position in that market.
Other products include auxiliary power devices for pole mounted equipment. The pole mounted equipment includes WiFi radios and Wireless Security Cameras.
The Sunrise Technologies, Inc. brands include FP Outdoor Lighting Controls, Sun-Tech, and BrownBetty (communications). Sunrise Technologies, Inc. is a wholly owned unit of Electro Switch Corp.
