Champion Fiberglass Announces Facility Expansion and Addition of Third Production Line

Champion Fiberglass, Inc. currently features two state-of-the-art production lines housed in a 100%-digital manufacturing facility. Facility expansion plans are currently underway, with a project ground breaking being planned for mid-summer 2018, and an overall goal of completing the build-out and testing of all components for a fully commissioned third line by the end of 2018.

The planned facility expansion will feature the addition of a third production line with updated technology, and will add 22,400 square feet to the facility. The combination of all three leading-edge production lines and an expanded team will allow Champion Fiberglass to double the current rate of manufacture. This addition follows Champion Fiberglass’s recent success in rapidly rebuilding after 2016’s devastating facility fire – a rebuild that was projected to take six to nine months was finished in four months, leaving the Champion Fiberglass manufacturing facility’s safety, lighting efficiency, and output much improved.

Recently, NEMA’s electroindustry magazine highlighted the Champion Fiberglass facility for these upgrades, including “…enhanced fire protection, advanced electrical infrastructure compliant with the National Electrical Code®, efficient LED lighting, and real-time monitoring.” These are just a few of the ways we’re committed to the safe, efficient, dependable production of the fiberglass conduit the electrical and mechanical industries are increasingly relying on.
